mEvent and Microsoft: Giving the Word “Connectivity” a Whole New Meaning
(Vancouver, WA) March 16, 2009- When Microsoft put on the Mobile Communications Partner Summit (MCPS), an event targeted towards the savviest mobile professionals—operators, independent software vendors, system integrators, and device manufacturers—they knew they needed to bring a level of interaction to the conference that transcended simple connectivity. Enter Pinnacle Interactive Events, a division of Pinnacle Marketing Group and a leading provider of mobile event solutions. The goal of MCPS (held in Seattle, WA, December 8-10, 2008) was to provide a networking and educational forum where mobile professionals and Microsoft Partners from around the globe could connect and discover new opportunities in the mobile space. For the second consecutive year, Pinnacle Interactive Events was called in as a strategic partner, transforming MCPS from an event focused on mobility into a mobile experience by deploying mEvent. The final survey reflected the value mEvent brought to the conference—82% of the attendees agreed that mEvent enhanced their experience at MCPS. Jeff Beyer, Mobile Solution Specialist, Microsoft, summed it up — “It really made the event much more compelling.” Attendees were able to download the mEvent to their own Windows Mobile device or check out a phone for the event.
